Your Mark on the Land

The Signpost

Standing in Candy Cap Meadow, the Signpost is covered in wooden signs pointing in every direction — each one carved with a member's name, their hometown, and how far away it is. It's a quiet record of everyone who helped build this place by committing to it. Your sign is permanent. It points home.

The Tree of Secrets

In the communal dining area, there is an old shore pine unlike any other on the property. Its trunk and lower branches are lined with small wooden shelves — each one belonging to a Chief member. Leave a stone you found on the beach, a photograph, a pinecone, a small carved figure. The tree becomes a cabinet of curiosities, a living museum of the people who have camped here. What you put on it is up to you.

  • Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and cannot be refunded, resold or transferred.
  • Zone minimums apply to all credit redemptions. Yellow Foot Nook requires a minimum of 2 credits per night; Reishi Grove 4 credits; Lobster Meadow and Elfin Saddle Glade 6 credits per night.
  • Scout discounts apply to direct bookings only. Hipcamp and other third-party platform bookings are at rack rate.
  • Best rate guarantee means Elder and Chief members will never be offered a lower per-credit price through any channel, at any time.
  • Day use is complimentary for the stated number of guests and is subject to availability. Excluded on certain holidays and during blocked dates communicated to members in advance.
  • Priority booking opens 7 months in advance for Elder and Chief members. Standard public booking opens 6 months in advance.
  • All memberships require a valid credit card on file. Elder and Chief memberships carry a 1-year minimum commitment billed monthly, then continue month-to-month until cancelled.
  • Signpost signs are installed at camp's next available installation date, typically within 60 days of membership signup.
  • Tree of Secrets shelves are assigned to Chief members in the order they join. There are a limited number of shelves. When a membership lapses, its shelf is held for 60 days before being reassigned.
  • Membership does not confer property rights of any kind. Camp Candy Cap reserves the right to update membership terms with 30 days notice.
  • 15% Practical Intelligence discount applies to programs hosted at Camp Candy Cap. Subject to instructor availability and program terms.
