The Wilderfolk Camping Club
A private membership for people who believe a special camping place deserves to become a regular part of their life.
Why a club
Some places just get under your skin.
Camp Candy Cap was built for people who understand that the best outdoor experiences aren’t one-offs. They’re relationships. With a piece of land. With the seasons. With other people who feel the same way about being outside. The Club exists to make coming back easy, affordable, and steadily more meaningful the longer you’re part of it.
A community of regulars
Members share fire pits, trade what they find, and swap stories at the communal kitchen. The people you meet here in November you’ll probably see again in March. That’s the idea.
Your own corner of the coast
Members book directly with us, skip the platform fees, and, at Elder and Chief, have their name carved permanently into the land.
The land rewards familiarity
The mushrooms fruit differently every year. The fog changes the place. The tide pools reveal themselves at the right hour to the people who know when to look.
Skills, not just scenery
Classes are open to the public, but members and their guests choose dates first and pay 15% less: reading the forest, coastal foraging, fire building, tide pools, taught by instructors who know these woods and this water.

How credits work
Credits, plainly
Your membership delivers camping credits every month. A night costs a set number of credits depending on the zone. The bigger and more open the zone, the more credits. Credits that come with your membership work out to $25 each. If you want more nights than your allotment covers, members buy extra credits at $30, still below what the public pays.
| Zone | Credits / night | With membership credits | With extra credits | Public rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yellowfoot Nook | 2 | $50 | $60 | $75 |
| Reishi Grove | 4 | $100 | $120 | $150 |
| Lobster Meadow | 4 | $100 | $120 | $150 |
| Elfin Saddle Glade | Opening soon | |||
The permanent things
Your mark on the land
Standing in the meadow, the Signpost is covered in wooden signs pointing in every direction, each one carved with a member’s name, their hometown, and how far away it is. A quiet record of everyone who helped build this place by committing to it. Your sign is permanent. It points home.
Chief only
The Tree of Secrets
In the communal dining area stands an old shore pine unlike any other on the property. Its trunk and lower branches are lined with small wooden shelves, each belonging to a Chief member. Leave a stone you found on the beach, a photograph, a pinecone, a small carved figure. The tree becomes a cabinet of curiosities, a living museum of the people who have camped here. What you put on it is up to you.
